Collection by sectors starting January 5th, 2026

NEWS RELEASE

THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LOW

INFORMS ITS POPULATION OF CHANGES CONCERNING THE MANAGEMENT OF RESIDUAL MATERIAL COLLECTION

Township of Low, December 17, 2025. The Municipality of the Township of Low is pleased to announce that, effective January 5, 2026, it will handle waste collection internally rather than through a contractor. This decision will significantly reduce waste management costs while improving service quality.

 Important - Holiday Season

Due to the transition from the current contract to the new operations under municipal control, as well as the closure of the transfer station during the holiday season and the replacement of dumpsters for commercial customers, there will be no collection during the week of December 29, 2025. Consequently, collection on January 5 will begin with garbage, given that these changes are occurring during the holiday season and will extend the normally scheduled collection date by a few days. The Municipality will be flexible to facilitate this transition.

 New - Collection by Sector

Collection will no longer take place only on Fridays as before. The municipality will now be divided into sectors, each with a specific collection day.

To find out the collection day for your home, business, or cottage, you can:
